Calvary Christian Academy’s high school class of 2020 celebrated its graduation Saturday in the chapel, delayed by two months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In all, 68 seniors graduated.
Salutatorian Angelina Prasad, a student at CCA since kindergarten, told her classmates it’s been a “wild, crazy and fun ride” for the class of 2020.
“Let’s meet up again real soon,” she said.
Valedictorian Jesse Rutkowski said none of the seniors knew they’d never be in school together when CCA closed at the outbreak of the coronavirus.
“Live every single moment like it’s your last,” he said.
Anjali Joy, a CCA student since pre-kindergarten, offered a testimony on the importance of God in people’s lives.
Calvary Christian, 13500 Philmont Ave., will reopen on Sept. 2 for in-school instruction five days a week.
