The Trump campaign officially opened a headquarters on Saturday night at 2100 Byberry Road in Somerton.

The tailgate party featured a disc jockey and fireworks set to God Bless the USA and the Star-Spangled Banner.

Among those in attendance were Catharine O’Neill, executive director of Catholics for Trump; state Rep. Martina White; and John Nungesser, the Republican candidate in the 177th Legislative District.

“We need to elect common-sense politicians who support the men and women in blue,” said Nungesser, who is challenging Rep. Joe Hohenstein.

White said voters should oppose Democrats for creating sanctuary cities, raising taxes and disrespecting law enforcement. ••
