American Heritage completes holiday season of giving

American Heritage Credit Union associates pack up their vehicles to deliver gifts to local families in the communities American Heritage serves.

American Heritage Credit Union culminated its annual holiday season of giving with a variety of donations, including canned goods, hot meals, toys, essentials and monetary donations to organizations and nonprofits within its community.

As part of its latest Spirit of Giving Food Drive initiative, American Heritage provided non-perishable food boxes, turkey and ham dinners and $25,000 in contributions in the form of $100 gift cards to more than 250 families in need in the Philadelphia area. American Heritage already donated 13,000 pounds of food and $20,000 to 14 local food banks prior to Thanksgiving.

American Heritage’s Adopt-A-Family program raised more than $20,000 to purchase wish lists items for 20 families in the areas American Heritage serves.

Each family’s wish lists included toys, books and necessities like coats and boots. Additionally, American Heritage’s Board of Directors donated 30 gift cards of $500 from ShopRite to be distributed to families throughout the community.

American Heritage Credit Union associates continue the Spirit of Giving initiative by contributing non-perishable food boxes, turkey and ham dinners as well as additional monetary donations to more than 250 families in need in the Philadelphia area.

“Our associates, Board of Directors and members came together to make this a very special holiday for many local families who needed our help,” said Bruce K. Foulke, American Heritage’s president and CEO. “Credit unions are about people helping people. This year, there are so many families who needed help more than ever. I am proud that the American Heritage community was willing to give of their time, energy and resources to brighten the lives of others. On behalf of our Board of Directors and associates, I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.” ••
