University of the Sciences held its 200th commencement celebration.

Nicole Etters graduated magna cum laude with a degree in criminal justice administration from Central Penn College. ••

Bucknell University presented degrees to more than 800 graduates at the university’s 171st commencement in Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Madison Cooper earned a degree in English – Creative Writing. Ana Kola received a degree in Spanish. ••

The University of Rhode Island announced that Maureen Kennedy has been named to the spring 2021 dean’s list. More than 7,000 students were named to the spring 2021 dean’s list. To be included on the dean’s list, students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. ••

Widener University has announced students who achieved dean’s list recognition for spring 2021. The dean’s list recognizes full-time students who earned a grade point average of 3.50 and above for the semester. Springfield College (Massachusetts) has named Kristian Rhim to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the 2021 spring semester. Rhim is majoring in Communication/Sport Journalism. Dean’s list students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework and a minimum 3.5000 grade average. ••

Jannatul Tushi was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester at Misericordia University. Students qualify for the dean’s list with a 3.55 grade point average or higher. ••

Jiayi Meng has been named to the dean’s list at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2020-21 academic year. Meng is a senior majoring in textiles, merchandising and fashion design, which requires a 3.75 GPA to make the list. ••

Susquehanna University congratulates its dean’s list students. The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. Local members of the list are Stephen Burdsall, a music performance major of the Class of 2021 and a graduate of Central Bucks South; Marie Dignam, a music education major of the Class of 2023 and a graduate of Nazareth Academy; and Joar Mejia Feliz, a neuroscience and biomedical sciences major of the Class of 2021 and a graduate of Mariana Bracetti. ••

Lehigh University conferred degrees to nearly 2,000 graduates. Area grads were Sean Brown (environmental engineering) and Xiaowei Chen (mathematics, with honors, and computer science). ••
