Mayfair BID executive director Donny Smith said three shops have completed the program: Marinucci’s Deli, 2852 St. Vincent St.; Reale’s Sports Bar & Grill, 7233 Frankford Ave.; and the Northeast Philadelphia Development Corporation, 7104 Frankford Ave.

Smith said another 10 businesses are planning storefront improvements.

Tartaglione last week visited the NPDC, which is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The agency, in tandem with Caring for Friends, distributes food Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Operated by Asian-Americans, NPDC provides translation and help with community issues.

The lawmaker also visited Reale’s. Owner Gary Goldman said the bar will be celebrating 30 years in November. Reale’s has been at its current location for 25 years after five years at Frankford Avenue and Wellington Street. ••
