Isaiah Vargas has been named a resident assistant for Walton Hall at Albright College. A graduate of Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, Vargas is studying music industry studies. RAs for Walton Hall are tasked with helping first-year students transition into college life. ••

To be eligible for the honor, a student must have completed at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC. ••

More than 140 students in Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at University of the Sciences received their white coats at a recent ceremony. The white coat ceremony is an annual rite of passage for students in their first professional year (third year) of USciences’ six-year pharmacy program and symbolizes their dedication to the profession of pharmacy and to the care of others. Local students receiving white coats were Justina Chen, Dawen Chen, Dawson Do, Chris Fu, Brigid Hurst, Janice Jaison, Anina Johnson, Ashley Joseph, Kevin Lin, Matthew Lor, Mariamol Nelson, Merlin Rajan, Leah Roy, Lisa Sy, Ance Maria Thankachan and Muhammad Shahroz Ul Haq. ••

Elana Kline was named to the dean’s list at Biola University (California) for academic excellence. Kline is a cinema and media arts major. Biola students are placed on the dean’s list if they have a GPA of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credits and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2. ••
