Mark Mroz, the community relations officer in the 2nd Police District, provided a crime update at last week’s Lawncrest Community Association meeting.
Earlier in the day, Mroz attended the kickoff to the Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any police or fire station.

Mroz also promoted the Lawncrest Youth Council’s Halloween celebration on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at Trinity Church, Oxford, 601 Longshore Ave. The event is co-hosted by state Sen. Tina Tartaglione, City Councilwoman Cherelle Parker and state Rep. Jared Solomon. There will be a trunk or treat, music, arts and crafts, a costume contest, games and prizes.
