JEVS Human Services has welcomed Rodney Brutton as campus president of its career training school, Orleans Technical College, at 2770 Red Lion Road. Orleans Tech is a post-secondary, nonprofit career school that provides job skills in various building and construction trades and is committed to helping individuals achieve their employment goals in this in-demand field.
Brutton most recently was head of the New Community Career and Technical Institute in Newark, New Jersey.
“Rodney’s proven track record of developing and implementing industry-specific training programs that engage employer partners will be significant assets for JEVS and our flagship training site Orleans Tech,” said John Colborn, JEVS chief operating officer. “His passion for advancing educational and economic opportunity make him a perfect fit for our mission, especially as we work so hard to get Philly back to work during these times.”
Orleans Technical College offers short-term training programs in A/C Refrigeration and Heating, Building Maintenance, Carpentry, Residential & Commercial Electricity and Plumbing & Heating. Orleans Tech also assists students in starting careers upon graduating.
