Parkwood backs physiotherapy business

Parkwood Civic Association’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. at St. Anselm parish hall, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road.

At the November meeting, members voted 9-0 to approve a variance for Petroski Physiotherapy, 12331 Academy Road, in the Parkwood Shopping Center, to be able to expand its services.

Brothers Nick and Eric Petroski were at the meeting, and have a Feb. 9 hearing in front of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Their business is open, with limited services.

In other news from the meeting, some people complained about unruly behavior by young people at Parkwood Shopping Center, adding that the security guard is not asserting his authority. Neighbors did agree that the shopping center is clean.

There were complaints about high grass and dog dirt on School District of Philadelphia-owned property that is used by the Academy Sabres. ••
