The Mayfair Community Development Corporation and Hometown Heroes Program plan to honor veterans by hanging banners around the Lincoln Loop.
The approximate cost of the banner and fixtures will be $200 apiece, and they will be placed directly behind the American flags already hanging.
Anyone interested in sponsoring a banner for a friend or loved one from Northeast Philadelphia who served in the military can email [email protected].
The first phase of the project will begin when there are 48 commitments. ••
