Local GOP group assists Toys for Tots

The Pennsylvania Republican Organization and its chairman, John Peter Zadzura, donated $1,700 in toys to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign.

The GOP organization partnered with Jennifer Cassidy, manager of the Bridesburg-based Toys for Tots warehouse, for the second year in a row.

This year’s effort topped last year’s donation of $1,359 in toys.

“The financial burden upon families still continues as we face new variants of SARS COVID-19,” Zadzura said. “The more hardship Americans face during the Christmas season, the more support we attain from people who ensure year after year that our partnership is stronger than ever, I sincerely thank them for being a part of a great and noble cause.”

Also assisting in planning and transportation were Pennsylvania Republican Organization co-chairman Charles Matthias and Chuck Shields, of Shield Electric. ••
