Holmesburg hears zoning case, police report

The Holmesburg Civic Association met last Tuesday night, with members approving a proposed multipurpose event space at 8230 Frankford Ave., Suite 6.

The civic association will write a letter of non-opposition to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The group also heard from 8th Police District community relations officer Trish Rosati and candidates in the May 17 election.

Meanwhile, the Star Players of the city Department of Parks and Recreation will present Songs of Stage & Screen on June 3-5 at 7 p.m. at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center, 7 Lock St., in Manayunk. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They are available at Holmesburg Recreation Center, 4500 Rhawn St., or on Venmo at [email protected].
