TruMark Financial Credit Union’s Kiss-A-Pig Financial Literacy Fundraiser took place at the Abington Art Center.

Business and community leaders from across the Philadelphia region came together to kiss a pot-bellied pig named Raines to raise awareness and funds in support of financial literacy programs in local schools.

The fundraiser is a component of TruMark Financial’s Building Financial Futures initiative and brings together educators, community and business leaders, and credit union employees to raise money for the privilege of kissing a pig. The credit union will award grants to the participating schools to use to purchase materials for teaching the fundamentals of personal finance. This information will help students make informed financial decisions and guide them to a future of financial success.

Philly sports-radio and podcast personality Marc Farzetta, host of the Farzy Show, emceed.

To date, TruMark Financial has donated more than $400,000 to area schools in need of personal finance resources. The grants have been used to purchase resources such as calculators, computer software, Chromebooks and textbooks to help teach the value of saving and the importance of managing money responsibly.
