Homicide detectives continue to look for the man who shot and killed an innocent bystander last Tuesday night inside Philly Bar & Restaurant, 2417 Welsh Road.
Police said 8th district officers responded to the bar for a shooting at 11:41 p.m.
There, they found 21-year-old Jailene Holton suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 3:26 a.m.
Holton lived in Parkwood and had attended MaST Community Charter School.
Police have described the suspect as a black male, and are hoping cameras inside and outside the bar will help identify him. Police have said the suspect was angry that he was unable to play pool, then left the bar and fired multiple shots into the glass window of the bar from more than 100 feet away.
There have been 267 murders this year in Philadelphia.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been established to raise money for funeral expenses. Already, as of Tuesday morning, $30,915 had been raised from 676 donors.
