A free community health fair took place last Thursday at People Acting To Help (PATH), 1919 Cottman Ave.
There was testing for vision, body mass index, blood pressure and Hepatitis B. The city Department of Public Health distributed COVID test kits and offered information on vaccines.
Jefferson Health performed mammograms. Other vendors provided information on home care, hospice and Medicare.
Coordinator Pearl Huynh said she organized the fair due to long waits for appointments at the city’s Health Center 10, 2230 Cottman Ave. Catherine Freeland, an associate director at the Hepatitis B Foundation, helped Huynh bring medical professionals to the fair. ••
