The 17 young people who recently made their confirmation at St. William Parish completed a service project that collected toys and money for the nonprofit Kisses for Kyle Foundation.
The foundation is named in memory Kyle Snyder, a 2½-year-old boy who died of cancer in 1998. It provides events, programs, services and gifts for families battling childhood cancer.

McDonough thanked the congregation during Sunday’s noon Mass.
“You came through tremendously,” she said.
