Elana Kline was named to the dean’s list for academic excellence at Biola University (California). Biola students are placed on the dean’s list to honor those with a GPA of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credits and whose cumulative GPA is at least 3.2. ••

Zachary Cruz was among the 15 elite members of the University of Scranton’s incoming class of 2026 who entered its Magis Honors Program in STEM. The program combines the development of STEM knowledge and research techniques with programming to further the students’ understanding of the impact science has on society. The Magis Honors Program in STEM is one of the University’s five programs of excellence. Cruz is majoring in business administration. ••

Madison Paige Anusky was part of the cast as Cedar Crest College Performing Arts presented the one-act play Ghost Stories. The audience shared the stage in an intimate black box setting. Three college friends find that a story told around a campfire’s glow leads to bitter truths about the lives they’ve created for themselves. ••

Albright College’s New York Fashion Week show featured designs by alumni and current students. Local Club Vogue volunteers were Deborah Choute, a graduate of Multi-Cultural Academy Charter School who is studying fashion; Kamiah Jean, a graduate of Dobbins CTE High School studying fashion: design; and Carly Marquess, a graduate of Archbishop Ryan studying art and fashion. ••

Kutztown University has announced 32 student-athletes will represent its wrestling team for the 2022-23 season, including Matthew Weinberg, an Archbishop Ryan graduate. Weinberg won the 184-pound title as the Golden Bears opened their season on Sunday at the East Stroudsburg Open. They return to action Nov. 19 at Millersville University’s “Shorty” Hitchcock Memorial Open. KU is led by head coach Robert Fisher, who is in his 22nd year. ••

Senior Carly Kozacheck was among Kutztown Universty students in the Department of Communication Design who won awards at the Graphis New Talent Annual Showcase. Kozacheck won Platinum with Illustrated Tarot Card, Gold with Illustrated Album Cover and Silver with branding for the Anthro Underground Cafe. ••
