The University of Tampa has honored 2,044 students who were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2022 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list. The following local students were named to the dean’s list: Kristen Frain, majoring in Education-Elementary (K-6), and Kylee Clemens, majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice. ••
Denae Carter was named to the Mississippi State University fall 2022 dean’s list. Carter was among 2,445 students named to the list. To be named to the list, a student must have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.79, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C. ••
The University of Rhode Island announced that Maureen Kennedy has been named to the fall 2022 dean’s list. To be included on the dean’s list, students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. ••
Ryan DiVergilis, a Media & Communication Studies major, made the fall 2022 dean’s list at Ursinus College. DiVergilis, a Somerton resident and Archbishop Wood graduate, is in the class of 2024. He is a defensive back on the football team. ••
Dominic Julius and Dominique Julius, both Pre-Business majors, made the dean’s list for the fall semester 2022 at Youngstown State. Dean’s List recognition is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 3.4 grade point average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit. ••
Katelyn Ostaszewski, an infielder and graduate of Archbishop Ryan, is on the Kutztown University softball team, which is the defending Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion. The Golden Bears were picked second in the PSAC East Division preseason poll by the head coaches, and were also ranked 15th in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association preseason national poll. They reached the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in program history last year – first since finishing as the national runner-up in 2013 — and registered their seventh 40-win season, finishing 40-15 overall. ••
Michaela Donnelly, of Marietta College (Ohio), was inducted into the Gold Key Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honorary. Donnelly is majoring in Geographic Information Systems and is expected to graduate in May 2024. She is a graduate of Science Leadership Academy. ••
