DHS caring for kids in Tacony child endangerment case

A 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman have been arrested for child endangerment.

Officers on Friday responded to the 4200 block of Glenview St. in Tacony for a report of screaming; upon their arrival, they found two children, ages 3 and 5, partially clothed, wandering around, crying in the rear of the house. As the officers entered the property, they discovered a third child locked in a dog cage, which was secured with a zip tie.

Officers removed the juvenile male from the cage and escorted him to emergency medical personnel. The children were transported to St Christopher’s Hospital for Children for evaluation and will be under the care of the city Department of Human Services.

The parents, Michelle Campbell and Paul Weber, are charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Recklessly Endangering a Person.
