Suspect sought in ShopRite bank robbery

The FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the man responsible for the robbery Monday afternoon of the Citizens Bank branch located inside the ShopRite store at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd.

At about 3:50 p.m., the man entered the store, approached the bank counter, handed a note to a teller and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the store.

The suspect is black, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, black and white sneakers, olive green beanie with a U.S. Army patch and a light blue face mask.

This man is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is urged to call the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000 or go to tips.fbi.gov.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the man’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
