Nuns with the Network Lobby for Catholic Social Justice on Monday presented U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle with its annual award recognizing Boyle’s 100% voting record on social issues supported by the Network Lobby.
“Thank you for your good voting record,” said Sister Barbara Ann Brigham, a Medical Mission Sister.
Boyle said he liked getting 100s on his report cards from the Sisters of St. Joseph at St. Helena Elementary School and appreciates the 100 from the Network Lobby.
The left-wing Network Lobby gave scores of 100 to 270 members of Congress – 222 in the House and 48 in the Senate – for their 2022 votes on select bills. No Republicans scored 100.
In the House, the Network Lobby scored members on eight bills – Freedom to Vote, Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement, Collective Bargaining for House Staffers, Restoring Hope for Mental Health and Well-Being, Respect for Marriage Act, Supreme Court Security Funding Act, Inflation Reduction Act and Presidential Election Reform Act. ••
