Domb makes pitch for NE votes

Democratic mayoral candidate Allan Domb was in the Northeast on Saturday, campaigning at the Delaire Landing craft and vendor fair.

Domb is pointing to his past support for the Northeast, including opening a satellite office on Red Lion Road and donating his City Council salary to schools such as Lincoln, Mayfair, Fels, Harding, FitzPatrick, Franklin, Loesche, Sullivan, Bridge Way and Washington. He’s opened a campaign office on Academy Road and been in the Northeast to address violent crime, tour diners and businesses, meet with the family of a murder victim and attend a Take Back Your Neighborhood meeting.

Domb has promoted building around companies like AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corp. and recruiting suppliers in the Northeast, bringing good-paying jobs to the area. He would also create jobs by incentivizing movie studios to film on vacant riverfront land and expand employment opportunities at Northeast Airport.

“For too long, residents in the Northeast have been forgotten in City Hall,” Domb said. “They know that when most politicians visit, they’re only here to ask for their votes. Not me. I show up for the Northeast. I opened a satellite office here while serving on Council, and I’ve opened a campaign office here to harness the energy of support my campaign is receiving in the area. I know the local business owners here and will devote myself as mayor to helping them thrive. From cracking down on violent crime to investing in Northeast Philadelphia business growth, I’ll ensure Northeast Philadelphians have a voice in City Hall.”

Sherrie Cohen, a Democratic candidate for City Council at large, also campaigned at the craft and vendor fair. Proceeds benefited charity. ••
