Dennis Fink decided to give roses to moms who visited his hoagie shop on Mother’s Day, promoting the giveaway on Facebook, along with a “Boost” on the social media page.
Fink, though, said Facebook rejected his ad as discriminatory, without further explanation.
Now, as he plans other ways to promote Fink’s hoagies, 4633 Princeton Ave., he’s created a music video, Super Finky, to the beat of the 1980s Rick James hit Super Freak.
The video, featuring Fink on vocals, debuted recently on YouTube. Fink’s delivery guy Joey Harris wrote the words, while videographer Ricky Haldis did the filming.
The song includes the words, “They like Italian, they’re a fan. They say that that’s their all-time favorite. When you make your move to Fink’s, look at the street signs. We got the whole Northeast.”
The Fink’s team gave Dennis a trophy as Artist of the Year.
Next up is a podcast, Cooking with the King, debuting later this summer.
