Cornhole for charity

American Heritage Credit Union joined the Kids-N-Hope Foundation to raise $12,000 during the second annual Cornhole Tournament. All proceeds from the event benefit the Kids-N-Hope Foundation, which aims to enhance children’s health and life services through pediatric music therapy at local hospitals and not-for-profit organizations.

The tournament was made up of 90 teams, and more than 200 individuals attended the fundraising event, representing members, neighbors and employees of American Heritage, as well as other local credit unions and community partners. Cash prizes and trophies were awarded to the top three teams of the tournament.

“We are thrilled to have raised these funds at our second annual Cornhole Tournament to continue supporting the Kids-N-Hope Foundation’s mission,” said Bruce K. Foulke, founder and chairman of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation and president and CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “We hope everyone who attended and participated in the event had a fun-filled evening. Without the continued support from our community through their participation in events like this tournament, we would not be able to make the impacts we do in the lives of pediatric patients each year.”

The top three teams of the cornhole tournament won cash prizes ranging from $1,200 to $300 as well as tournament trophies. The Outsiders won the tournament, with Bag Boys second and Team Dietz third.

Teams of two played in a round-robin tournament.
