The Kids-N-Hope Foundation raised more than $143,000 during its 28th annual golf classic at Huntingdon Valley Country Club. The annual golf outing serves as one of the signature fundraising events for the foundation to support music therapy programs and other child life services.
The event’s volunteer staff and golfers enjoyed an afternoon on the greens, an awards banquet and silent auction. A total of 140 golfers came out for the day and enjoyed friendly competitions in various skills contests, which awarded winners in the longest drive, putting contest and the closest to the in.
Since its inception, the foundation has contributed more than $3.1 million to the music therapy program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as well as other pediatric health and life services at local hospitals and not-for-profit organizations.
“It’s always an exciting day when foundation supporters and event sponsors can enjoy a beautiful day on the course while raising funds for the foundation,” said the foundation’s founder and chairman, Bruce K. Foulke. “We are deeply appreciative of all our sponsors, business partners, credit union partners and event participants for their support of our golf outing and their unwavering commitment to the mission of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation.”
