Kutztown University will have 72 student-athletes representing its track and field program for the 2023-24 season. The Golden Bears competed in the Bison Opener on Saturday at Bucknell. Local members of the team are Anastasia Fratanduono, a senior distance runner and Archbishop Ryan graduate, and Don Hill, a junior sprinter and Neshaminy graduate. ••

Nathan Kennish is one of more than 230 student-athletes who competed for Lebanon Valley College sports this fall. Kennish, a graduate of Archbishop Ryan, is pursuing a degree in criminal justice. A senior, he was a member of the football team, playing inside linebacker. The Flying Dutchmen finished 6-5. ••

The Kutztown University football team won the NCAA Division II Super Region One championship Saturday, with a 28-16 victory at Slippery Rock. The victory sends the Golden Bears (12-2) into the national semifinals Saturday against No. 1 Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. Local players are Rich Paczewski, a freshman wide receiver from Archbishop Ryan; Earl Volz, a redshirt senior defensive lineman from Father Judge; Tee Peete, a freshman linebacker from Judge; and Isiah Thomas, a freshman offensive lineman from George Washington. ••
