Hanukkah (Dec. 7-15) and Christmas are almost here, with many people in the Northeast shopping for gifts and planning holiday feasts.
Others, though, are struggling.
The Times hopes to help those less fortunate folks in our community, with a big assist from our readers.
The 75th annual Eleanor Smylie Community Fund outreach program — named in memory of our late chairwoman — will use all money collected to buy supermarket gift cards for individuals and families.
For those making donations, we’ll publish your names. Please let us know if you want your donation to remain anonymous.
