The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in five robberies on Dec. 20-21.
In each case, the offenders displayed or used a hammer during the robbery. The offenders are wearing the same clothing in each of the robberies and fled in a white Acura with a temporary New Jersey tag.
One robbery took place at 4:15 p.m. at Fox Chase Recreation Center. Four males – three black and one white – wearing dark masks approached a 13-year-old boy. They attacked the boy and stole his hoodie and sneakers.
At 5:18 p.m. the same day, two black males punched a boy waiting for a bus at Rising Sun and Adams avenues, stealing his Chromebook and sneakers.
The next day, at 12:25 p.m., six offenders – a white male, a white female, a black female and three black males – stole the sneakers of a male on the 5700 block of Rising Sun Ave. They fled in a vehicle that was last seen in the area of 7th Street and Lehigh Avenue.
Later that day, three black juvenile males approached a boy walking home from school on the 2000 block of W. Cheltenham Ave. One hit the boy in the head with a hammer.
At 7:45 that night, six black males began running toward a male near the intersection of Krewstown and Surrey roads. They punched and kicked him and stole his shoes.
