The Tarken Adult Art Club recently held its end-of-the-year art show. The Dec. 19 show featured live music by Roger Walsh, light refreshments and displays of art. The club met Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Tarken Recreation Center, 6250 Frontenac St.
Themes included basic shapes; observational still life; fantasy and sci-fi worlds; art inspired by heritage; Water Color: Delicate and Transparent; Landscape Painting: Nature’s Power; faces and expressions; open studio/Halloween; pop art and modern culture; exploring 3D art – sculpture study; large group painting; and the human figure.
