• Local residents were among more than 1,600 students named to the University of Scranton’s dean’s list for the 2023 fall semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better to make the list. The students are Olivia R. Kearns, a freshman psychology major; Kira E. Marino, a sophomore biology major; Samantha R. Sonnie, a sophomore journalism and electronic media major; Aneliese M. Ewerth, a freshman communication science and disorders major; Keri L. Gontz, a sophomore nursing major; Teresa R. Fernandes, a junior communication science and disorders major; Danielle L. McFadden, a junior health administration major; Nicole L. McLaughlin, a junior health administration major; and Iris Sanchez, a freshman business administration major.
• Cedar Crest College announced Juliana Delgado was inducted into the Delphi Society for the fall 2023 semester in recognition of outstanding academic achievements. Delphi recognizes students who have completed 86 or more total credits and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.8 or above.
• Lucas Myers was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Cedarville University (Ohio). Students receive the recognition for obtaining a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester and carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.
• David Mamalat was named to the dean’s list for fall 2023 at Presbyterian College (South Carolina). Mamalat was among nearly 300 students named to the list. The prestigious honor recognizes students who have achieved a 3.3 to 3.9 grade point average for a semester.
• Justin Boline was named to Middle Tennessee State University’s dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Boline is majoring in Aerospace. To qualify for the distinction, an undergraduate student must maintain a current semester grade-point average of 3.5 or above and earn at least 12 semester hours. More than 6,220 MTSU students made the fall list.
• Montclair State University congratulates Sydney Mercer on being named to the fall 2023 dean’s list. Mercer, a Film and Television major, was among more than 6,000 Red Hawks named to the list. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Alie Kamara has been named to the Central Penn College dean’s list for the fall 2023 term. Kamara is majoring in Human Resources Management. To qualify for the dean’s list, an undergraduate student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the term.
• The University of Rhode Island announced the fall 2023 dean’s list, which included Molly McDonagh and Brigid McShea. To be included on the list, students must have achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.
• Seton Hall University announced Stephen DiBello has qualified for the fall 2023 dean’s list. Undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than “C”, qualify for the list.
• The Kutztown University baseball team roster consists of 30 players, including Colin Kelly, a senior catcher/outfielder and Father Judge graduate. The Golden Bears kick off the season Feb. 17 with a doubleheader against Mount Olive in North Carolina.
• Cedar Crest College announced its dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. The recognition honors students who achieve a grade point average of 3.65 or higher. Local students on the list are Corinne Mundy, Juliana Delgado, Emily Schwartz, Laney Ferraro and Kelly Sy. ••
