Resurrection Regional Catholic School, 2020 Shelmire Ave., on Saturday afternoon closed Catholic Schools Week with its first Asian Lunar New Year Festival, which was open to the public.
The event was special for principal Vanessa Rymer, whose father is from China. Rymer said she helped organize the community festival, in part, in memory of her grandmother.

The afternoon featured cultural displays, crafts and activities, including calligraphy and origami, as well as Asiatic delicacies, dance performances and dragon puppets. ••
