Torresdale Library, 3079 Holme Ave., recently celebrated its 52nd birthday.
The day included preschool storytime, airbrush tattoos, live animals from the Center for Aquatic Sciences and the band Minas performing The Beatles in Bossa.

City Councilman Mike Driscoll, state Rep. Ed Neilson and state Sen. Jimmy Dillon were on hand.
Light refreshments were provided by Friends of Torresdale Library. ••
