Congratulations to Nikolas Bielawski and Lindsi Smith, both 24, who became engaged in Rittenhouse Square as a guitarist played Beyond, by Leon Bridges.
Nikolas is a Father Judge and Orleans Technical College graduate who lives in Modena Park. Lindsi is a Pennypack resident who graduated from Archbishop Ryan and Temple.
The couple met in 2019 when Lindsi worked for Blink Fitness and Nikolas was a member.
To celebrate their fifth anniversary, they went to Jean-Georges restaurant in Center City for dinner, then headed to Rittenhouse Square, where Nikolas proposed in the middle of the square.
Nikolas chose that location because his favorite memory of his time with Lindsi came three years ago, when they booked an Airbnb in Rittenhouse and sat in the park all night people watching, listening to music and talking the night away.
After Lindsi said, “Yes,” they headed back to the Northeast, where family and friends had a surprise engagement party for them.
Nikolas and Lindsi plan to get married in the spring of 2026. ••
