Holmesburg Civic Association last week voted 7-0 to not oppose a proposed auto repair at 4220 Holmesburg Ave. The owner’s Zoning Board of Adjustment hearing is May 22, on Zoom, at 2 p.m.
The group also heard from state Sen. Jimmy Dillon and state Rep. Pat Gallagher on budget issues.
The civic was supposed to hear about a short-term rental issue at 4444 Oakmont St., but that case might be heard next month.
Stan Cywinski, an aide to City Councilman Mike Driscoll, encouraged anyone with personal issues to call the 988 crisis lifeline. Cywinski also invited constituents to call Driscoll’s office at 215-683-9220 for issues related to veterans, Medicare or Medicaid.
