Local lawmakers recently honored the St. Hubert cheerleading team that won the PIAA 3A Large Competitive Spirit championship in late January at the Giant Center in Hershey.
The cheerleaders, coach Lisa McNesby, school president Lizanne Pando and principal Gina MacKenzie accepted citations from state Reps. Pat Gallagher, Martina White and Ed Neilson, state Sen. Jimmy Dillon and the office of City Councilman Mike Driscoll.

The girls also ate a 5-pound Hershey bar that was given to them when they won the championship.
Joining in on the ceremony were Swenson Arts and Technology teacher Ace King and some of the students in his Community-Based Vocational Training class. ••
