• Widener University celebrated the achievements of 1,186 Chester-campus students in graduation ceremonies.

Local graduates were Fatima Haroun (Master of Social Work); Patrick Carolan (Master of Education with a major in Secondary Education); John Gill (Master of Science with a major in Robotics Engineering); Shea’lyn Hubbs (Master of Business Administration); Olivia Swearingen (nursing degree); Julia Boyle (Master of Science in Engineering with a major in Civil Engineering); Sean Curran (history degree); Jessica Mereshensky (social work degree, magna cum laude); Casey Bivenour (nursing degree); Joseph Nescio (account degree and finance degree, magna cum laude); Ethan Pomales (electrical engineering degree); Gavin Salamone (nursing degree); Leo-Paul Wahl (biomedical engineering degree, cum laude); Stone Haworth (finance degree); Maggie Rose Boyes (psychology degree); Riya Abraham (psychology degree); Jarred Bradley Harrison (accounting degree); Molly Shaw (mechanical engineering); Stephanie Logan (Master of Science with a major in Executive Nurse Leadership); Egypt Worthy (Master of Social Work); Jennifer Dean (Master of Social Work); Monique Annan (Master of Social Work); Gianna Kaiser (nursing degree); Jacinta Reason-Johnson (Master of Social Work); Monishelle Valcin (nursing degree); Lynda Buesmaill-Tall (Master of Social Work); Catherine Minor (Liberal Studies degree).

• Six local students made the dean’s list at Cedar Crest College. They are Corinne Mundy, Fatimah Abdulqaher, Juliana Delgado, Emily Schwartz, Laney Ferraro and Kelly Sy. The recognition goes to students with a grade point average of 3.65 or higher.

Melody Cordon has been named to the Central Penn College dean’s list for the spring 2024 term. Cordon is majoring in Legal Studies. To qualify for the dean’s list, an undergraduate student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the term.

Kamiah Jean is one of nine Albright College alumni and students who will present original fashion designs on Sept. 7 during New York Fashion Week. A 2024 graduate, Jean studied Fashion: Design at Albright College. She is also a graduate of Dobbins CTE High School. ••
