Mission BBQ, 11000 Roosevelt Blvd., invites the community to Touch a Truck & Meet a Hero on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
Visitors will be able to climb aboard, honk and explore vehicles from the Philadelphia Police Department, Philadelphia Fire Department, Pennsylvania State Police, Philadelphia Second Alarmers, Pennsylvania National Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, Navy, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard.

There will also be information tables.
Purchase a red hero cup from Mission BBQ through Sept. 11, and Mission BBQ will donate $2 for every cup sold to the Philadelphia Second Alarmers. ••
