Universal Charter Schools is hosting its third annual back-to-school block party on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Universal Creighton, 5401 Tabor Road.
There will be a backpack giveaway, musical performances, entertainment, social activities, games, food, face painting and a video game truck.
The event is being held in conjunction with Walmart, Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Duane Morris, Dunbar Agency, state Sen. Sharif Street, state Rep. Jason Dawkins and Councilman Anthony Phillips. ••
