Protestant Home remembers 9/11

The Philadelphia Protestant Home, 6401 Martins Mill Road, hosted a ceremony to remember the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The event featured an American flag-raising ceremony, appearances by Engine 64 and 2nd Police District community relations officer Mark Mroz and the playing of Taps.

Resident Calvin Clement and his son, Stephen, sang the national anthem. Resident Audrey Alston sang God Bless America. PPH security guard Jorge Rodriguez raised the flag.

There were remarks from the Rev. Kris Halsey and Pastor Earl Scott. 

Bill Conaway, PPH’s director of community relations, was the emcee. ••
