McMenamin Family ShopRite, 9910 Frankford Ave. (at Morrell Avenue), last week hosted a Help Bag Hunger event, held in recognition of September being national Hunger Action Month.
ShopRite customers were asked if they wanted to round up their bills to the nearest dollar as part of the fundraiser.
Two aides to state Rep. Ed Neilson served as baggers during the event.
The Pillsbury Doughboy was also in attendance to celebrate 25 years of the charitable endeavor. ••
