Car guy Gary Barbera teamed with state Rep. Jared Solomon (D-202nd dist.) to distribute about 370 backpacks during a back-to-school event at Gilbert Spruance Elementary School, 6401 Horrocks St.
The event featured popcorn, water, pretzels, music and vendors such as Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and Tzu Chi, a community recycling organization. ••
