A violent home invasion in Northeast Philadelphia left five people shaken after armed suspects stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of valuables.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning, around 5:15 a.m., in the Mayfair neighborhood on the 3200 block of Cottman Avenue.
Police reported that four men, all wearing ski masks and ranging in age from their 20s to 30s, entered the home and held the residents at gunpoint.
Among the victims were a 15-year-old boy, a 25-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man, a 55-year-old woman, and a 61-year-old man.
The suspects made off with a staggering $19,000 in cash, $25,000 worth of jewelry, and five iPhones before fleeing the scene in a white Honda, which was described as having tinted windows and front-end damage.
Authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the robbery.
The police investigation is ongoing, with authorities tracking one of the stolen phones to Interstate 95.
State police have been brought in to assist with locating the vehicle. No arrests have been made at this time, but law enforcement continues to search for the suspects involved in this brazen crime.
