Authorities in North Philadelphia are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found inside a parked truck early Sunday morning.
Law enforcement officials report that the woman, believed to be in her 60s, was discovered in the vehicle along the 500 block of West Luzerne Street around 5:20 a.m. on March 9, 2025.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the discovery, pronouncing the woman deceased at the scene at approximately 5:30 a.m. As of midday Sunday, police have yet to identify her.
Residents of the neighborhood, including individuals familiar with the woman, indicated that she had been a longstanding presence in the area and often stayed inside the truck.
One neighbor recalled seeing her regularly and described her as someone who kept to herself and did not cause any disturbances.
Authorities have stated that there is no evidence of foul play at this time, but an investigation remains ongoing.
