The Swenson Dark Knights chess team recently traveled to Orlando to compete in a national tournament.
The team brought home two trophies, placing seventh in the Blitz under 1800 division and 16th in the under 800 division.

Senior Javen Vigo placed 33rd out of 180 players in the individual competition.
The team, in its first year, had won six trophies during the Pennsylvania State Scholastic Chess Championships in Harrisburg.
The team is coached by Douglas Cox and hopes to return to nationals next year in Chicago. ••
