Holiday celebration in Lawncrest on July 5

The Lawncrest Community Association will present the neighborhood’s annual Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 5.

The event will be in partnership with City Councilman Anthony Phillips, state Rep. Anthony Bellmon and the 35th Ward Democratic Committee.

Daytime activities will go from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with fireworks at dusk at the Lawncrest Community Center field, on the 400 block of Comly St.

Activities will be a car show, music, information and resources tables, bounce houses, face painting, balloon art and food by the Lawncrest Lions.
