Christopher J. Misko Jr., 18, was elected and installed as the 91st Pennsylvania DeMolay State Master Councilor during the recent Pennsylvania DeMolay Convention held in Breinigsville, Lehigh County. The Order of DeMolay is a fraternal youth-led organization for young men ages 12-21 that teaches leadership; public speaking; event planning; organizational, budgeting and time management skills; and the importance of community service and charitable outreach. Prior to joining Northeast Chapter, Order of DeMolay in Philadelphia, Misko was a member of Liberty Manor, Order of the Squires, for young men ages 9-11, learning the values and activities of the DeMolay organization.
The son of Christopher and Kristin Misko, he is a Past Master Councilor (past presiding officer) of Northeast Chapter and has served Pennsylvania DeMolay as Regional Master Councilor and Deputy State Master Councilor. He holds the Representative DeMolay Award; the Chevalier; and was presented with the DeMolay International Distinguished Service Award, recognizing him as the DeMolay of the Year, during the DeMolay Convention. Misko is also an accomplished ritualist who has earned the recognition of the Mid-Atlantic Tournament of Champions Ceremony of Light Champion for three years and the Flower Talk Championship for two years.
In addition to his participation in DeMolay, Misko is an Eagle Scout in Boy Scout Troop 372, based at Holy Innocents St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 7001 Torresdale Ave., where he continues to serve as a Senior Patrol Leader; belongs to Tacony Lodge No. 600 Free and Accepted Masons and Sarah E. Collins Court No. 86 of the Order of the Amaranth; and is a Past Youth Vestry Member of Holy Innocents St. Paul’s Church.
A 2025 graduate of Central High School, Misko participated in the concert and jazz bands, and was a three-letter varsity athlete as a member of the football, wrestling and and baseball. He has a YouTube Channel “Sticky Chris: All Things Sports,” where he posts videos about the major sports teams in Philadelphia, and he will begin his studies at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove majoring in sports media and communication.
Misko will serve as State Master Councilor until his successor is elected and installed at the 2026 Pennsylvania DeMolay Convention that is scheduled to be held in the Pittsburgh area July 17-19. ••
