Bike ride kicks off National Night Out in Fox Chase

The 2nd and 7th police districts on Tuesday night held a community bike ride outside Fox Chase Elementary School, 500 Rhawn St.

The leisurely ride was escorted by police officers.

All participants were eligible to win a new bike in a raffle.

National Night Out followed in the Fox Chase school yard.

There was a DJ, vendors, free pizza, ice cream, cotton candy and water ice and an appearance by the Rita’s Ice Guy mascot.The event was organized by the office of state Rep. Sean Dougherty, along with the 2nd Police District Advisory Council and Fox Chase Town Watch. ••
