• Kutztown University has 29 players on its women’s soccer program for the 2025 season. Erik Burstein has been coach for 18 years. The Golden Bears went 12-5-6 last year, including being undefeated at home for the first time. Kutztown was picked to finish third in the PSAC preseason coaches poll. The Golden Bears opened the season Sept. 4 with a non-conference, 4-1 victory against Concord (West Virginia). Local players are Carly Walsh, a junior midfielder/defender, and Gianna Rivera, a sophomore forward. Walsh and Rivera are both Archbishop Ryan graduates.
• Kaci Simon has enrolled at James Madison University for the fall semester. Simon is majoring in Media Arts and Design. ••
