Mike Perzel, author of Livin’ It, held a book sale and signing last week at the Green Parrot restaurant, in Newtown. The book is billed as the “true story of a bad kid from Philly who defies the odds” and chronicles Perzel’s life in Mayfair from age 11-19. The author later became a successful insurance broker, with an office on Frankford Avenue.
Perzel was joined by his wife, Annette, along with co-author Rick Mowat and his wife, Paula.
Musical entertainment was provided by Rae Radick, whose show is titled Iconic Women of Music.
The next book signing will be at LuLu Country Club, in Oreland, on Friday, Sept. 26, from 4-8 p.m.
Another book signing is set for Saturday, Nov. 15, from 4-8 p.m., at Jimmy’s Timeout Sports Pub, 5001 Linden Ave.
