Glen Foerd, 5001 Grant Ave., will present ArtsFest, the annual celebration of the Artists in Residence whose culminating work will be on display throughout the mansion, on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 1-4 p.m.
Each artist will present their work and engage in a Q&A with the audience.
After the presentations, the celebration will continue with a musical performance by Guachinangos.
There will be food, drink, children’s activities and self-guided mansion tours.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs.
“The Artist in Residence program at Glen Foerd has evolved a lot since 2015, but the heart of it has remained the same,” said Isabel Brown, Arts and Culture Program Officer. “It’s been an honor to collaborate with so many artists to reimagine the layered histories of this site. Although recent funding cuts pose a serious challenge, we are committed to seeing another 10 years of transformative art at Glen Foerd.”
Admission is free, though donations are appreciated.
